Picture Head provides multiple platforms for final online editorial. Our massive unity storage system allows us to have large volumes of uncompressed media. Accessible in multiple edit bays allowing for greater flexibility and speed. We have developed a streamlined data-centric workflow that allows for a seamless throughput from creative editorial to final mastering and delivery of product that is both rapid and efficient.

Platforms include: Autodesk Flame Premium, Avid Symphony, FCP and Adobe Premiere

Supporting DPX, HD tape and all file-based formats in 4K, 2K, or 1080p

Color
Our spacious 4K DI Theater is equipped with the very latest in color science technology, featuring the Baselight Advanced Color Correction System from Filmlight.

View image on our 18ft. screen with the NEC NC800C projector or on Calibrated Rec 709 Monitors. We employ LUT’s custom designed and calibrated for all major labs to ensure consistency between the DI, DCP, and release prints. Output to: XYZ for DCP, P3 for Film or Rec 709 for HD.

The system integrates into our central media storage, providing a seamless tapeless workflow from editorial to color correction to visual effects, allowing complete flexibility and efficiency.

Audio Services
Picture Head’s Audio department offers a diversity of sound services including sound design, track prep, Foley, ADR, pre-dub and final mixing in our 5.1 Audio Suites or our expansive Audio Head Stages located on the historic “The Lot” at Formosa.

The Picture Head studios are equipped for 5.1 mixing and playback, presented on large format screens with HD projection to provide a rich sonic experience.

Our audio engineers are among the best in the business specializing in audio sweetening, editing and mixing for Feature Films, Television, Trailers, Commercials, TV Spots. Each of our mix rooms utilizes the Pro Tools audio system, the gold-standard of the industry. We also feature voice-over recording booths for narration, or we can record V.O. from anywhere in the world using the ISDN Telos Zephyr system. Our track-prep and editorial stations for sound design are loaded with an incredible sound effects library of over 36,000 effects.

Trailer Services
The Picture Head Trailer department offers a range of Film and Digital Cinema services. Our team of Supervisors will guide your project through the entire post-production process.

Overcutting, listing, code booking, tracking elements, moving digital files, scan list preparation, scanning supervision, editorial, DI, track prep, final sound mix and supervision throughout the lab process.

Our paint and composite artists are among the best in the business for virtually any type of picture fix ; from signage removal, blood removal, rig removal to the subtle shades of character alteration. Additionally, our graphic department can support the creation of Billing Blocks can provide all legal MPAA green cards.

Media Services
Our robust encoding methods produce the highest quality files; encoded for HD/SD for file-based deliverables, web ready content and complex formatting for a myriad of outlets. Our transmit and receive solutions utilize high bandwidth and multiple fiber channels in and out of the facility. We are equipped with various fiber optic data transfer solutions with international network capability including SmartJog®, Digi Delivery and Aspera. Additionally, we provide our clients with efficient, secure FTP protocols and 1080P Fiber.
